Reg Russom Memorial Drawing Prize

In partnership with the Hunter TAFE Foundation, ArtsNational Newcastle will for three years (2004-2006) sponsor the Reg Russom Memorial Drawing Prize. First established by TAFE in 1952 in honour of celebrated Newcastle TAFE teacher and artist/illustrator Reg Russom, the prize was offered annually until 2019.

The 2024 prize was awarded to Laura Baker, a student in the Advanced Diploma Visual Arts. In 2025 the prize was awarded to Louise Ostrowski, a student in the Diploma of Visual Arts program.
